1. Why develop Warrior Duels? We’ve been fans and avid TCG players since the release of the 4th Edition of Magic The Gathering. Playing TCG’s like Legend of the Five Rings, Babylon 5, WOW, Highlander, Flesh and Blood, and many others. In recent years, we also played many online TCG’s. We decided to embark on a journey to develop our own Combat TCG inspired by many of our favorites games, but incorporating some unique elements that draws upon our love of historical battles, generals, and cultures.
2. Is Warrior Duels really FREE? Yes! We believe the core of any successful game, online or physical, is a strong community that supports the game, provides feedback and is willing to take the journey with the creators. That is our goal. Build a fun, engaging game that incorporates community feedback.
3. So how will you afford to support the game? We are fortunate to have private funding to develop and launch our game. While we may offer chase cards (e.g., foil) or cosmetic items in the future, we don’t want Warrior Duels to be a pay to win game. We dislike those as much as anyone.
4. When will the game enter Beta Testing? Our plan is to complete our Alpha testing by the end of January 2025 and launch our Beta testing by the end of 1st quarter 2025.
5. Will there be new Warriors and Factions in future sets? Absolutely! We have a roadmap for the next several sets that we will release that include new Warriors for the existing factions and brand new factions. Hint: Spartans, Huns, etc.
6. What about new card mechanics? Of course! We’ve just scratched the surface on our backlist of ideas of different card types, abilities, and unique mechanics we are going to incorporate into the game.
